This is an update on my post of several days ago: Canadian boy latest victim of Bush’s GWOT in which I refer to an article in the Friday, February 16 Toronto Star.
I have just received a comment form Matthew Pizzo, the Texas University law student who has been trying to help this Iranian family and their Canadian-born nine-year-old son. He informed me that thus far, the Canadian Consulate has neglected to contact him after numerous calls.
Here is Matthew Pizzo’s comment:
I am shocked, dismayed and angered at our government and the Canadian Consulate in Texas! And I have just written several letters, in the hope that someone will step forward and demand justice for this family.
Readers here can help by contacting the Canadian authorities and letting them know that this is unacceptable!

February 21st, 2007 at 6:21 am eI still haven’t heard anything from the Canadian Consulate regarding the parents, they have confirmed that the child is a Canadian citizen. If anyone has any ideas on how this family could be returned to Canada, I would be happy to hear them.my email address: xxxxxxx. I am the student mentioned in the article.
