This rally also presents a good opportunity to protest the Canadian Pension Plan investing our pension money in companies who make cluster bombs.
Canada Pension Plan investments in companies in the arms business, dated March 2006 : Link
And this despite the CPP Investment Board having signed a global set of “Principles for Responsible Investing” published by the UN Environment Programme Financial Initiative (UNEPFI).
They should not be allowed to do this in our name with our money.

Thanks Alison for bringing that important info to my attention and the links! I’d done a piece on the CPP and its investing of our pension money in those companies a while back, but couldn’t find it. So it’s so great that you put it up here.
I’ve just forwarded your suggestion and ALL info in your links to the MAC Rally Group and others on my list in the Ottawa area.
I won’t be going, as we’re expecting another nasty snow-ice storm later, so there’s no way for me to get out very far from Brampton.
This is why your info was all the more pertinent and timely. Much appreciated!
cheers,
Annamarie
