Project Ploughshares’ Ottawa local group is pleased to announce that John Siebert, Executive Director of Project Ploughshares, Waterloo, will speak in Ottawa on Tuesday, 24 April 2007, at 7:30 pm, at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, 2345 Alta Vista Drive (at Randall Ave.) on the topic:
“Building Peace Piece by Piece in the Horn of Africa.”
John recently participated in a conference on a regional peace and security architecture in Eastern Africa, part of a 3-year project funded by Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC), that was organized by Ploughshares’ Nairobi-based partner, the Africa Peace Forum.
Following his talk there will be time for discussion over tea, coffee, cookies etc.
