In keeping with the spirit of this event, which is poverty and inequality, we are charging one hour’s wage for people to attend.
Tickets are available at $8, $15, $20, $30, $40, $50, $60, $70, $80, $90, and $100. If you earn more than $100 an hour we would appreciate a suitable donation.
We are counting on you to be as generous as possible. If there is any surplus after covering the cost of the event, it will support anti-poverty work by the Ontario Coalition for Social Justice.

That sounds like a great event. I wasn’t 100% sure what Strombo’s politics were, but that’s cool he’ll be there.

Yes, it’s cool alright. I like Strombo even better now… btw, I will be there too. Apparently, PC John Tory hasn’t felt up to facing the ire of those people who were dispossessed by his predecessors policies (Mike Harris, Ernie Eves)…. wonder if McGuinty will accept… The NDP’s Howard Hampton had no problem with accepting the invitation to attend. It says something about the 3 parties.

Certainly having someone like Stephen Lewis will give it more exposure and put pressure on the politicians to attend.

Yes, indeed it will. I’ve always had a lot of respect and admiration for Stephen Lewis. I really look forward to hearing him. I just purchased my ticket for the event today. I’ll let you know how it went (if I don’t forget…. )
