On another note, I finally had Mom back at docs, then x-ray, the results of which won’t be back till next week. He also prescribed very strong pain pills, as nothing seems to help and she’s been in a lot of pain, barely able to sit and walk. It’s been a long, trying day. I’ll let you know if the results show anything interesting. Otherwise, I’ll have to get her to physio, but she doesn’t want to go as she says it just hurts too much. So I’m left feeling helpless… In between trying to look after Mom, I still have my own house to upkeep, old uncle who lives with me, and an election to work on. Things will let up a bit after Oct. 10, but then I start my 6-week CERV training course (Community Emergency Response Volunteers). I’ll keep you posted on my progress with that via email as/when I have time…

The President has ALWAYS had the Right, and ability, to call up the Militia (which includes the Active Duty, National Guard, Reserves, and UNORGANIZED Militias) at ANY time they were needed to put down insurrection or in order to address other Civil distress (like natural disasters). What authority do you think was used to deploy the 82nd Airborned Division to Little Rock in the 1950’s? What authority do you think was used to Federalize the National Guard troops at the University of Alabama?
