July issue of Spectrum: EM Guns in Missile Defense, and Lots More

For readers who are interested in new technology — tech insiders — I would recommend reading the July IEEE Spectrum in its entirety. The article of most interest for GN space activists is Carolyn Meinel’s piece on the history of electromagnetic rail guns and their use in missile defense schemes:

But the issue also has a cover story on the Greek Vodaphone cell-phone tapping scandal that NSA may have been involved in; a critical story on India’s nuclear power history and how it fed the nuclear weapons program, and a story on Terahertz waves and their use in imaging for security purposes. An incredible issue beginning to end. Most stories should be online at URL above.
