As the holidays approach, consider giving a meaningful gift membership in the Council of Canadians to friends and family members.
You will be helping the Council work to promote public health care, clean water, fair trade and energy security. You’ll also be providing your loved one with an opportunity to learn more about how to get involved in the fight for a better Canada and a more just world.
When you give someone a membership in the Council of Canadians, we will prepare a package that includes:
- a personalized holiday card advising them of your gift;
- the most recent issue of our informative magazine, Canadian Perspectives, and other current campaign information;
- a membership card.
We will gladly send the package directly to the gift recipient on your behalf or, if you prefer, to you first so that you are able to sign the card and personally give the gift. Either way we will inform you after it’s been sent.
At the end of 2008 we will ask them if they would like to renew their membership with the Council of Canadians and continue receiving Canadian Perspectives magazine. We ensure any personal information you provide is kept strictly confidential and we adhere to current Canadian privacy legislation.
You can give a membership in the Council of Canadians by:
- filling out the secure online form on our website
- calling our membership department, 1-800-387-7177
- printing out the online form and mailing or faxing it to us at:

Thank you for helping the Council to bring about a better Canada and a fairer world. Happy holidays!
“Last Christmas when my son was relocating to Sweden, I saw an opportunity to keep him in touch with the well-being of his country. This led me to purchase a membership not only for him, but the other members of my family as well. Within my family this simple action has created awareness, lively discussion, and understanding about the world around us. I encourage every member of the Council of Canadians to do their part by purchasing gift memberships to encourage more debate, understanding and empowerment in their homes and communities.”
