As gas prices escalate and air quality declines, how can we
effectively produce clean energy from renewable sources in
order to reverse global warming?
Stephen Hazell, will begin the evening with a presentation about the Kyoto Protocol and the work Canada needs to undertake to fulfill our commitments. He will also talk about Cool Cities Canada, which is a campaign to address climate change through strategic action at the municipal level.
Peter Orphanos, Chair of the Sierra Club of Canada Peel group will do a short presentation on the climate issues that the Region of Peel is facing, and what can be done to improve the situation.
