Brampton Gets Ready to ‘Rock Against Cancer’
Brampton- On Saturday, August 23, The Rock School will partner with the Canadian Cancer Society to bring the first ever Rock Against Cancer Charity concert.
Dubbed as a “one of kind place” for locals to turn to for their music fix by the Brampton Guardian and The South Asian Free Press, The Rock School will gather community members, residents and music enthusiasts in support for the fight against cancer.
The Rock Against Cancer Charity Concert is a free outdoor show which will feature local Brampton talent including Brampton’s very own all girl rock band, ‘DAME.’ Recipient of the Brampton’s Best Band Award and the Indie In Tune’s Best All Female Act and Best Rock Act–these dynamic ladies are set to take the Brampton community by storm with their unique brand of progressive pop/rock.
With over 500 Brampton community members expected to attend, Rock Against Cancer will be a fun filled afternoon showcasing Brampton bands, international cuisine, live karaoke, a silent auction, and more.
Festivities take place on Saturday August 23rd from 3pm-11pm at 18 Automatic Road. We invite you to join us for a day of great food and music. It’s an opportunity for everyone in the community to come together and enjoy a wonderful afternoon in Brampton with their family!
